Interested in becoming an EC NCCP Coach or Instructor?

IHC is pleased to provide our members with assistance for achieving their certification goals.  In this section, you will find the necessary tools, information, and resources to help you along the pathway.  We also host training opportunities throughout the year such as education, candidate preparation, and evaluations.

The certification process is available in four different streams: Instructor, Competition Coach, Competition Coach Specialist and High Performance 1 (Competition Development) Coach.

Specialization within disciplines is introduced at the Competition Coach Specialist level.

Your pathway to success!

  1. Get your IHC Membership and EC Sport Licence.
  2. Contact the IHC Coaching Team
  3. Open a coaching file with the Coaching Association of Canada
  4. Begin assembling requirements.
  5. Get your EC Registered Coach status
  6. Train with a certified coach and prepare for evaluation.
  7. Schedule your evaluation.

C.H.A.R. is a new online digital platform for instructor and coach candidates to work self-paced through the training and evaluation process to achieve their EC NCCP certification goal!

It simplifies the learning process and is always up to date with the latest coaching information. Access to this platform will be free with your IHC membership providing you with many benefits such as:
